A train with passengers derailed.
In the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation, a Russian airplane accidentally dropped an aerial bomb on railroad tracks, causing a passenger train to derail. As a result of the incident, an elderly woman was injured. This was reported by the Russian edition ASTRA.
The incident occurred in the Yakovlevsky district of Belgorod region. According to journalists, the aerial bomb fell directly on the railway bed and damaged about 25 meters of track. The munition did not explode.
The driver of the train "Razumnoye - Tomarovka" with 15 passengers noticed the damage and applied emergency braking. However, the accident could not be avoided - the train still derailed.

A 75-year-old woman was injured as a result of the accident. The bomb squad arrived at the scene and recovered a FAB-500 aerial bomb.
At first, Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said the train derailment could have been caused by an explosion. Later, he edited the message and removed mention of this version.
According to journalists, since the beginning of 2026, Russian aviation has accidentally or due to technical malfunctions dropped aerial bombs on Russian territory and temporarily occupied territories at least 24 times.
