The issue of the transfer of power is moving forward.

The U.S. side has proposed holding elections in Venezuela in 2027. This was announced by Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, according to the EFE news agency.

“My presence in Venezuela shows that the issue of the transfer of power is moving forward,” she said.

Machado thanked U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and U.S. President Donald Trump for their operation in January of this year, during which the U.S. military evacuated the country’s dictator Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores from Venezuela.

Prior to that, Acting President Delsy Rodríguez stated that the government guarantees the participation of all political forces in the country’s affairs.
