The Ukrainian military struck the "Marinovka" airfield in the Volgograd Region of the Russian Federation.

The Ukrainian military struck two Russian Su-34 fighter jets at the Marinovka airfield in the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation using the "Neptune" coastal missile system.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Navy.

“As a result of the strike, two Su-34 front-line fighter-bombers were destroyed on the territory of the 11th Mixed Aviation Regiment (Oktyabrsky, Volgograd Oblast) of the 4th Mixed Aviation Division of the 4th Army of the Air Force and Air Defense," the statement reads.

The Ukrainian military noted that the Su-34 is one of the key platforms for Russian tactical aviation.

In particular, the occupiers use them to drop guided aerial bombs on Ukrainian cities, Defense Forces positions, and frontline areas.

“The Ukrainian Navy continues to strike enemy military targets, reducing its ability to conduct combat operations against Ukraine,” the Navy emphasized.
