People can't get home.
Residents of the Chelyabinsk Region are literally stuck in kilometer-long traffic jams and cannot get home because local authorities have closed a number of roads in connection with a visit to the region by Russian dictator Putin, who arrived for military exercises “Center-2026,” writes dialog.ua.
Photos and videos showing massive traffic jams on Friday, October 2, are spreading widely on social media.
Meanwhile, officials claim that the roads are being closed “in connection with road network maintenance work.” For example, Rosavtodor stated that from October 2 through 5, traffic restrictions will be in effect on all federal highways in the Chelyabinsk Region.
Vladimir Putin’s motorcade is traveling to the Chebarkul training ground, where the “Center-2026” exercises are taking place. As previously reported by VChK-OGPU and https://t.co/2RapCOV1dZ, due to his visit and the need to transport military equipment, roads throughout the Chelyabinsk Region will be closed from October 2 to 5—not only all federal highways but also regional ones. At the same time, residents were told that these restrictions are related to “preparing the roads for winter.”

The Telegram channel “Ostrozhno, Novosti” also reports that residents of the Chelyabinsk Region are stuck in traffic jams stretching for many kilometers and cannot get home.

For example, one driver told local media that he couldn’t reach the maternity ward to be with his wife, who had just given birth.
In addition, intercity buses are unable to leave Chebarkul.
Forty-seven thousand military personnel are participating in the exercises, which the Russian dictator has arrived to observe. The aggressor country’s military maneuvers are taking place at 11 training grounds and in the waters of the Caspian Sea.
The Kremlin claims that the exercises are related to “challenges at Russia’s borders.”
