Zelensky made an important statement in the U.S.
Ukraine has destroyed 45% of Russia's oil refining capacity.
The head of state Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during a conversation with media representatives in the U.S.
“How can they get this money if we retaliate after their attacks on our energy infrastructure, if we launch counterattacks against their oil refineries? They don’t have enough diesel—we’ve destroyed 45% of their capacity,” Zelenskyy noted.
On the night of September 20, units of the Armed Forces attacked the Moscow Oil Refinery in the Kapotnya district of Moscow. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the AVT-6 primary refining unit, the integrated refining unit, and the isomerization unit were hit.
The Ukrainian defense company Fire Point stated that the oil refinery was struck by FP-1 drones.
On September 22, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked the Kuibyshev Oil Refinery in Samara.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, strikes by the Ukrainian Defense Forces on Russian oil refineries have knocked out more than 45% of Russia’s design oil refining capacity.
