The unit must prepare to carry out its tasks as soon as possible.
The State Secretary of the Security Council ordered that a tank battalion of the 19th Separate Mechanized Brigade (Zaslonovo, Vitebsk Region) to a state of readiness to “carry out its intended tasks under peacetime conditions,” ordered the State Secretary of the Security Council Alexander Volfovich.
According to the Ministry of Defense, as part of a combat readiness inspection on September 14, Deputy State Secretary Andrei Gorbatenko handed the relevant order to the duty officer at the General Staff’s command post.
It is reported that the battalion “has been tasked with bringing itself to a state of readiness as quickly as possible, then marching to the designated area, prepare weapons and military equipment for use, and carry out firing exercises using standard-issue weapons, tanks, and small arms.” After that, “assessments in tactical, tactical-specialized, fire, and physical training” will be conducted.
“At the start of this next phase of the inspection, we stated that we would be assessing how the command and control system for the entire military force functions. Therefore, the procedure for issuing such orders will vary each time. We are checking how the entire command and control system operates, how officials are able to make timely decisions, communicate tasks in a timely manner, and monitor the execution of assigned tasks,” Gorbatenko stated.
