"Flamingo" Destroyed A Factory In Cheboksary: Photos Have Surfaced

"VNIIR-Progress" is critically important to the Russian defense-industrial complex.

New photos of the “VNIIR-Progress” facility in Cheboksary have appeared online; they were taken on August 20, several weeks after missile strike by the Ukrainian Defense Forces, according to dialog.ua.

Judging by the published images, the plant remains in a ruined, abandoned state, and there are no signs of any restoration work.

The facility is critically important to the Russian military-industrial complex. It specializes in the production of satellite navigation systems and “Kometa” antenna modules. These components are used, in particular, in Russian strike UAVs.

Judging by the photographs, some production facilities have sustained significant damage. However, it is impossible to confirm the exact extent of the damage based on publicly available data.
