The Most Expensive Apartment In Minsk Was Sold In July For $1.2 Million

Last year, a building with a striking facade appeared on Griboedov Street. The 33-unit complex was named “Object 6.” In July, an apartment there sold for $1.2 million, setting a new market record, according to Realt.by. It turns out this new development has now surpassed Minsk residential complexes such as Depo and “Olympic Park” for the second time. Here’s a look at the apartment that made it onto the list of the most expensive in Belarus.

As a reminder, “Object 6” has 2 entrances, 6 floors, and 33 residences. The building, located in a quiet corner near the Cathedral Mosque, was designed by M5 Architects. A distinctive feature of the building is its Corten steel facade.

Following successful sales in early summer (when three expensive apartments in “Object 6” made it onto the list of the most expensive properties), July was a quieter month. Only one apartment in the complex made headlines: a four-room unit with an area of 168 square meters became the most expensive in Minsk. The spacious residence on the fourth floor was purchased for $1.2 million. This works out to $7,161 per square meter. A new record for the capital’s real estate market!

It’s worth noting that apartments in Depo were also sold in July. For example, an 83-meter two-bedroom apartment was purchased there for $530,000. The price per square meter for that apartment was $6,325. Third on the list of Minsk’s most expensive residential properties was an apartment in “Olympic Park.” A spacious four-room apartment with an area of 164 square meters was purchased for $515,000 (a modest $3,131 per square meter).
