Trump Unveiled The New $100 Bill

The changes are related to the 250th anniversary of the United States.

U.S. President Donald Trump posted a photo of the new $100 bill on the social media platform Truth Social.

The overall design of the bill remains unchanged, except that Trump’s signature has been added, and for the first time in 165 years, the U.S. Treasury Secretary’s signature is absent.

This is the first time a sitting president has signed U.S. currency, Reuters reported, citing the Treasury Department.

Trump’s signature appears above that of U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant.

According to Bessant, the inclusion of the president’s signature on the bill is an appropriate step in light of the 250th anniversary of the United States.

Plans were in place to begin printing the new bills as early as June, but authorities have not yet confirmed that production has begun.
