Lukashenko Said He Understood The Essence Of U.S. Policy

The dictator said that Trump wants oil and money from his regime.

Alexander Lukashenko thanked U.S. President Donald Trump for his remarks on Washington’s foreign policy. According to Lukashenko, the American leader’s statements made it clear what interests the U.S. is pursuing in its relations with his regime and other countries, BelTA reports.

“Thank you, Donald Trump. He is a more open politician—too open, in fact. We now understand what kind of policy [the U.S. has]. Now do you understand what they wanted from us? Oil, money <...> We’ll bomb them if there’s no oil. He openly says that he doesn’t care about Venezuela for a hundred years—he wants oil. I’ve understood this for a long time. I just couldn’t say it publicly,” Lukashenko said at a meeting in Brest.
