Syrsky Told About The New Echelon Of Ukrainian Air Defense Systems
Alexander Syrsky

The fourth air defense line of the AFU will protect two more regions of Ukraine.

Ukraine continues to work on the creation of the fourth echelon of air defense.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Alexandr Syrsky informed about it in his account in Facebook.

According to Syrsky, thanks to the expansion of the capabilities of the fourth line of Ukrainian air defense, it will protect two more areas from Russian air strikes. He did not specify which ones.

At the moment, according to Syrskyy's statement, the best results in protecting Ukraine's skies are shown by the second echelon of air defense. It is the responsibility of the Unmanned Systems Force.

Unmanned Systems Force soldiers shot down more than 1,200 Russian drones in May of this year alone. In May, Ukrainian drone interceptors in three air defense lines shot down more than 3,500 Russian UAVs.

In turn, helicopter crews destroyed more than 440 Russian drones of various types. This became possible thanks to the helicopters being equipped with modern detection and identification equipment and new missiles.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces warn that the Russian occupants are planning to significantly increase the number of UAVs to strike Ukrainian territory.

The AFU is therefore developing measures to counter enemy UAVs.
