Kyiv is expanding its capabilities.
Technology expert and advisor to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Sergey “Flash” Beskrestnov stated that, in his assessment, the Russian leadership is prepared to wage war in its current form for a long time to come.
He claims that Russia can easily recruit up to 30,000 people each month to send to the front lines and continues to maintain its capacity to produce drones and missiles, including with support from China.
According to him, economic difficulties—in particular, fuel shortages—are not a critical factor for the Russian leadership.
At the same time, “Flash” believes that bringing the war to a quicker end is possible only by influencing public sentiment within Russia. According to him, certain shifts in this direction have now emerged. Whereas previously the war felt “far away” to the overwhelming majority of Russians, it is now coming back to their homes.
Beskrestnov also warned Moscow: if the war does not end in the coming months, the upcoming winter will be spent without electricity and heat—not only for Ukrainians, but for Russians as well. Ukraine is only increasing its long-range capabilities, and therefore deep strikes into Russian territory will intensify.
