The number of employed in the economy of Belarus decreased by 8.8 thousand people for a month. This is evidenced by the data of the National Statistics Committee.

In April, 4 million 172.1 thousand people were employed in the economy of the country - it's less than a month earlier. However, compared with April last year, the number of workers, on the contrary, increased by 36.3 thousand.

At the same time, May 26, there's still a high demand for personnel in Belarus: almost 137.2 thousand offers from employers are placed in the national bank of vacancies.

It should be noted that unemployment benefit in Belarus is Br40 per month or $20. This amount is established by the Council of Ministers № 1064.

In addition, in Belarus, able-bodied citizens who do not work for more than 183 days a year are considered "slackers. They pay for housing and communal services at full rates, while evasion is punishable by fines.
