Zelensky: Ukraine Ready For Talks With Russia This Weeks

Ukraine's president expects the same from Moscow.

Ukraine has had "good contacts" with the US and hopes to return to meaningful trilateral talks in the coming weeks. This time with the participation of Europe.

This was reported by Charter97.org, citing an evening address by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky on May 20.

Zelensky said the Ukrainian team had good contacts with the U.S. side - both on security cooperation and diplomacy with the Russians.

"If it will be possible to return to meaningful trilateral communication in these weeks and if it will be possible to involve the Europeans, it will be the right result," the president said.

Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine is ready for appropriate steps.

"I expect that the partners will also be ready and that the Russians will not hide," he added.
