An Aerial Target Flew Into Ukraine From Belarus

It's probably a balloon.

An aerial target from Belarus crossed the state border with Ukraine on the evening of May 2, monitoring Telegram channels reported, the New Voice website noted.

Monitors assume it is a balloon. It was recorded over the Chernobyl exclusion zone.

An air alert was declared in Kiev at 9:12 p.m. Minsk time. KOVA reported that UAV movement was recorded in the region, air defense forces are working in the region.

At the same time, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Andrei Kovalenko warned of possible provocations from Belarus.

"Regarding Belarus - all their actions in the border area are recorded, as of now, from that side there are possible only minor provocations, which will cost more for the Belarusian side. No more than that. Therefore, it's better for the Belarusians not to make them," he wrote.

May 2, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenski said that the previous day there had been "specific activity" near the border of Belarus.
