RF has lost some capacity.
After another drone strike on the Tuapse refinery in the Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation, the company's production capacity has decreased.
A spokeswoman for the Unmanned Systems Force of the AFU Olga Meloshina said this on the air of a telethon, writes Censor.net.
She stressed that units of the Unmanned Systems Force (USSF) operate in cooperation with other components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. At the same time, she noted that the details of the latest operations have not yet been disclosed and official confirmation from the General Staff is awaited.
According to Meloshina, one of the attacked oil refineries had a capacity of about 12 million tons of oil per year. She emphasized that repeated strikes gradually reduced its functionality.
"The fourth visit, I think, reduced this capacity a little bit, and we will do everything to ensure that the corresponding capacity of the enemy only decreases," the spokeswoman said.
Meloshina stressed that strikes on Russia's oil refining infrastructure are legitimate because these facilities provide funding for the Russian army.
"The forces of unmanned systems work exclusively on facilities associated with the enemy troops.... oil refining is a source of funding for the enemy army," she said.
The spokeswoman said such operations have not only an economic but also a psychological effect, as they change the perception of security of Russia's remote regions.
"If earlier 1,500 or 2,000 kilometers from the state border was a safe rear area for Russia, today the situation is changing," Meloshina said.
She also said that the final data for April is still being refined, but analysts estimate that Russia's oil refining capacity has been reduced to 1,500 or 2,000 kilometers from the border.
