The country's airspace will be closed for the Slovakian prime minister.
Lithuania will continue to deny Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo the use of its airspace to fly to Moscow for events commemorating the victims of World War II. This is reported by LRT.
Lithuanian Presidential National Security Advisor Deividas Matulionis said this position is consistent and will not change.
"We certainly do not support attempts by states to build relations with an aggressor state. This is our clear moral position, which we adhere to," he said on air on Žinių Radijas.
The Lithuanian Foreign Ministry said it had not received an official request from Slovakia for the overflight. At the same time, the ministry did not specify whether a final decision to ban the use of airspace had already been made.
