Belarusian tennis player Arina Sobolenko became the winner of the prestigious Laureus World Sports Awards in the category "Sportswoman of the Year". This is reported in the Instagram of the award.

The award ceremony was held in the evening of April 20, 2026 in Madrid. Sobolenko received a statuette created by luxury brand Cartier. She was recognized for her dominance in world tennis and successful performances at major tournaments.

In 2025, the athlete reached the semifinals of all four Grand Slam tournaments, won the U.S. Open and finished the season at the top of the world rankings.
