The man who organized a shooting in the Goloseevsky district of Kiev, who took hostages and was later liquidated, turned out to be a native of Moscow.
This was reported by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko.
"In the Goloseevsky district of the capital, a 58-year-old native of Moscow opened fire, killed four people, after which he barricaded himself in the premises of a supermarket and held hostages," the report said.
Preliminary information, the attacker used an automatic weapon. It is also reported about the fire in the apartment where he was registered.
The shooter was liquidated during the assault by the special unit KORD.
According to Ukrainska Pravda, the shooter's name is Dmitry Vasilchenkov, date of birth - April 21, 1968. He was born in Moscow and had Ukrainian citizenship. Previously lived in Bakhmut, Donetsk region, then - in the Goloseevsky district of Kiev.
The photo of the weapon used by the attacker also appeared. They say that it is a KelTec SUB2000 semi-automatic rifled carbine, which folds in half and is a legal weapon.
