Budanov Named A Scenario For The Liberation Of Transnistria

Control of the region is only possible by force.

Russia is concerned about the security of its military contingent in Transnistria and is trying to strengthen it. The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kirill Budanov told this in an interview with the YouTube channel "Little Country" told.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, the Russian command continues to consider the possibility of intensifying its actions in this region.

"I would call it a war of fears. The Russians are afraid for their contingent and want to take at least some measures to somehow strengthen it, to make it ready to react somehow if something happens to it," he said.

Budanov noted that Ukraine is closely monitoring the situation and is ready to respond to possible threats, emphasizing that this is in line with standard military practice.

He also characterized the Russian grouping in unrecognized Transnistria as weak and expressed the opinion that Russia is more concerned about its condition than has real opportunities to strengthen it.

At the same time, he doubted that establishing control over Transnistria is possible without military action.

"Without a single shot? I, for example, do not believe in it. If you ask the question, can we do it? Yes, we can, with shots, but we can. However, I believe that this is a premature question," Budanov said.
