U.S. Command: Not A Single Ship Has Entered Iranian Ports In 48 Hours Of Blockade

The US has completely blocked Iran's maritime trade.

During 48 hours of the US blockade in the Strait of Hormuz, not a single vessel has passed into or out of Iranian ports. This was announced by the US Central Command on social network X.

The agency said nine vessels complied with the instructions of the US forces and returned to Iranian ports or the coastal zone. The command noted that the US Navy is also patrolling the Gulf of Oman.

After Washington and Tehran failed to reach an agreement at talks in Islamabad, US President Donald Trump announced a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. According to the head of the US Central Command Brad Cooper, the US has completely blocked Iran's maritime trade, on which about 90% of the country's economy depends.

Agencies citing data from ship-tracking services wrote that several tankers were passing through the Strait of Hormuz despite the US blockade. Among them are the Chinese tanker Rich Starry, an Iranian VLCC model supertanker. Today, The Wall Street Journal wrote that more than 20 commercial vessels crossed the sea corridor over the past 24 hours.
