Drones Attacked Petrochemical Plants In Russian Bashkortostan

The city of Sterlitamak was under attack.

On Wednesday, April 15, drones attacked petrochemical companies in the Russian republic of Bashkortostan.

This was reported by Charter97.org with reference to Telegram of the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Andriy Kovalenko.

According to Kovalenko, the city of Sterlitamak was under drone attack. It is one of the centers of Russia's chemical and petrochemical industry.

There, in particular, is the Sterlitamak petrochemical plant, which produces ionol, an additive to jet fuel and oils for military equipment.

There are also other enterprises in the city that provide important components for aircraft and missile equipment, particularly for the production of explosives, gunpowder, and ammunition.

The region's head Radi Khabirov said that air defense forces allegedly shot down several drones over Sterlitamak's industrial zone. The debris fell on the territory of one of the enterprises.

"The debris fell on the territory of one of the enterprises. All services are working on the spot, extinguishing the resulting fire. We find out the details," he wrote in Telegram.
