Media: Putin In School Pants Made A Strange Show In The Kremlin

The Russian dictator surprised with his emotional facial expressions and unusual style of dress.

Russian leader Vladimir Putin found himself in the spotlight during an official meeting in the Kremlin - this time not only because of politics, but also because of his unusual behavior and appearance, writes The Daily Star.

While negotiating with newly elected Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, the Russian leader displayed emotional facial expressions that contrasted sharply with his usual reserved image. The released footage shows Putin changing facial expressions from exaggerated grimaces to broad smiles, which has already sparked a lively discussion in the media.

Additional attention was also drawn to his clothing. Observers noted the short, skinny pants that looked too elevated above the ankles while sitting - the publication called them "school pants." This "informal" style contrasted with the classic dress code of the Indonesian delegation and generally did not match Putin's traditionally restrained image.

Despite the unusual details, the official part of the meeting was devoted to the development of bilateral relations between Moscow and Jakarta. The two sides discussed cooperation in trade, energy and food security.

The meeting was also attended by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov and the dictator's aide Yuri Ushakov.
