Zelenskyy Revealed The Delivery Date For 500 Patriot Missiles From The U.S.

Kyiv is insisting on speeding up the process.

Ukraine will not begin receiving the 500 anti-aircraft missiles for the Patriot air defense system—the sale of which was approved by the U.S. State Department—for several years.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on social media X.

According to Zelenskyy, the relevant agreement provides for the start of PAC-3 missile deliveries in a few years. He did not specify exact dates.

The president noted that Ukraine needs these missiles right now, especially ahead of the winter of 2026–2027. PAC-3 missiles are used to intercept ballistic targets, including during Russian strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure.

Zelenskyy called on U.S. partners to find a way to expedite the delivery of missiles for the Patriot systems.

As a reminder, on October 30, the U.S. State Department approved the potential sale of 500 missiles for the Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine. The preliminary cost of the deal is $2.1 billion. The purchase is planned to be financed by Ukraine and its international partners.
