There are casualties, and the subway bridge has been damaged.

On the evening of October 26, Russian troops launched a ballistic missile strike on Kyiv, and repeated the attack during the night. At least one person was killed in the first strike, and ten others were injured.

Buildings, a university dormitory, medical facilities, transportation, and urban infrastructure were damaged.

According to information from the Ukrainian Air Force, the missiles flew over the Chernihiv region in the evening.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported strikes in the Desnianskyi and Dniprovskyi districts. Specifically, a dormitory at one of the universities was damaged, windows were shattered at two medical facilities, and vehicles—including an ambulance—were damaged.

Among the injured were a paramedic and an emergency medical technician. According to city authorities, most of the victims were students living in the dormitory.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the missiles struck the grounds of one of the universities, Kyoto Park, the area around a metro station, and a residential neighborhood. He said there were no military facilities at the impact sites. Zelenskyy also called on partners to expedite the fulfillment of agreements on the delivery of missiles for air defense systems and to provide Ukraine with the means to destroy Russian ballistic missile launchers.

Following a second nighttime attack on Kyiv, new strikes were reported. According to Klitschko, an administrative building was damaged in the Podilsky district, and non-residential structures were damaged at two other locations.

In addition, a missile struck the South Bridge, and subway infrastructure was damaged. Traffic on the bridge has been restricted, and trains on the “green” metro line are temporarily running on separate sections: between the “Syrets” and “Vydubychi” stations, as well as between “Osokorky” and “Krasny Khutor.”

In the evening, emergency power outages were also implemented in the Ukrainian capital, but were later lifted.
