A Putin Supporter, Russian Rapper Misha Mavashi, Died Under Mysterious Circumstances
Misha Mavashi

He actively supported a full-scale war against Ukraine and aided the occupiers.

Russian rapper Misha Mavashi, who supported the full-scale war against Ukraine and aided the occupiers, died on the night of October 24–25 at the age of 41. His associates claimed it was an accident, but Russian media are already discussing other possibilities, including suicide, according to OBOZ.UA.

It is still unknown exactly what happened to this ardent supporter of the Kremlin’s policies. An acquaintance reported the death of the artist, whose real name is Mikhail Nits, on Telegram. According to him, the circumstances of the tragedy are being investigated, and details are expected to be released later.

His acquaintance called the death an “accident”

Meanwhile, Russian media are circulating conflicting reports about the propagandist’s death. They claim that Mavashi sustained a gunshot wound at his home. The man was allegedly taken to the intensive care unit, but could not be saved due to significant blood loss.

“Misha Mavashi committed suicide,” Russian propaganda media also report.

Mavashi rose to popularity in the early 2010s thanks to his rap songs about sports, a healthy lifestyle, and giving up bad habits. However, over time, his activities extended far beyond music.

In 2022, he founded the nationalist movement “Northern Man,” which was intended to “unite people on the basis of the Slavic ethnicity” and was involved, in particular, in collecting aid for the occupiers.

The musician himself openly supported dictator Vladimir Putin and the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Specifically, in May 2024, Mavashi posted a video of a Russian “Grad” rocket system in action in the Belgorod region, captioning it, “Greetings to Kharkiv from Belgorod! “All the best!” The video later had to be removed because he was accused of marking targets, and the launcher itself was positioned in the middle of the road just a few meters from civilians.

In September 2025, the Vinnytsia City Court of Ukraine sentenced Mawashi in absentia to 8 years in prison with confiscation of property. The charges involved financing activities aimed at altering Ukraine’s territorial borders, specifically by organizing fundraisers in support of the Russian military.
