The corporation is the world's largest producer of sponge titanium.

Early in the morning on October 25, Ukrainian UAVs, having flown over 1,600 km, reached the city of Berezniki in the Perm Krai. There, the AVISMA chemical-metallurgical plant, which is part of the military-industrial complex, was successfully attacked.

This was reported by the authoritative OSINT expert Exilenova+, as reported by Dialog.UA. Using footage from the site of the attack, he was able to geolocate the target.

“The ‘sanctions’ turned out to target the AVISMA chemical-metallurgical plant in Berezniki, Perm Krai. The plant’s titanium alloys are used in the production of military aircraft, aircraft engines, and rocket and space technology,” the expert said.

Perm Governor Dmitry Makhonin confirmed the attack, stating that 11 drones were involved.

“VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation” is the world’s largest producer of porous titanium. It is used in the production of military aircraft and helicopters, nuclear submarines, missiles, armored vehicles, and other military equipment. The plant is subject to Western sanctions due to its involvement in the aggression against Ukraine. It should be noted that the Russian Ministry of Defense reported this morning that it had intercepted more than 500 Ukrainian strike UAVs over the country, including in the Belgorod and Omsk regions. The Russians did not specify how many were not intercepted.
