Lukashenko Told Putin Whether It Is Possible To Restore The USSR

Dictators live in the past.

The future of the CIS is being discussed at a meeting of the heads of the Commonwealth member states in Dushanbe on October 10.

The dictators of Belarus and Russia, Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin, as well as the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan are taking part in the summit.

In his speech, Alexander Lukashenko, in particular, spoke about the prospects of recreating the Soviet Union.

Speaking to his colleagues, Lukashenko urged not to lose what "has been worked out by generations of our people, maximizing interaction without any closed topics."

At the same time, he put the issues of economic development at the top of the agenda.

"Without the economic component there will be no cooperation - neither political, nor diplomatic, nor military," said the Belarusian ruler.

Despite all this, Lukashenko admitted that there's no way to restore the USSR in our time.

"I'm not agitating anyone to restore the Soviet Union, it's impossible today, but the economic space should be preserved," he said.

And emphasized that it's not about returning to the order that existed under the USSR.
