White House Reacts To The Choice Of Nobel Peace Prize Winner

The prize was awarded to Venezuelan politician Maria Corina Machado Parisca.

U.S. leader Donald Trump will continue to make peace agreements to end wars, White House Assistant to the President and Communications Director Steven Cheung said in an X commenting on the Nobel Committee's decision.

"He has the heart of a humanitarian, and there will never be anyone like him who can move mountains by sheer force of will alone," he wrote. "The Nobel Committee has proven that it puts politics above peace," Cheung emphasized.

This year's Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Venezuelan opposition politician Maria Corina Machado "for her efforts to promote democracy in Venezuela."
