Total Destruction Of Russia's Air Defense And Air Force: Ukraine Has Launched A Major Operation

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are conducting a coordinated campaign to suppress and destroy the air defense systems of Russia, the aggressor nation. This was reported by analysts at the U.S. Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

The Ukrainian forces’ operation to destroy enemy air defense systems in areas bordering Russia likely began as part of a broader campaign against Russian economic and military targets.

Ukraine has achieved its first results

On the night of August 23–24, according to the commander of the Special Operations Forces Robert Brovdy, Ukraine struck a fighter jet, a helicopter, airborne surveillance radars, and several elements of Russia’s air defense system. The Ozon logistics center was also targeted by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

“ISW notes signs that Ukrainian forces have intensified their strike campaign against Ozon warehouses since August 22. Ukrainian forces have been delivering significant strikes against Wildberries logistics centers across Russia since approximately July 17, and now appear to be expanding their strike campaign to Ozon warehouses as part of Ukraine’s systematic campaign against Russian e-commerce platforms,” the analysts added.
