Trump supporter Laura Lumer was shocked by what she heard from the Ukrainians who had been released from captivity.
Russian occupiers are torturing and abusing Ukrainian servicemen who fall into their hands. This was reported on her social media account X by blogger Laura Lumer, who is close to U.S. President Donald Trump.
Lumer noted that while in Ukraine, she spoke with Ukrainian soldiers who had been held captive by Russian occupiers and was shocked by what she heard.
“What they’re doing to Ukrainians in Russian captivity should shock every American. They’re tortured with electricity, have needles driven under their fingernails, and have salt poured into their wounds… They’re starved, and mock executions are staged… Russia calls itself the defender of Christian civilization. There is nothing Christian about Russian torture chambers. This is a demonic regime. Americans need to know the truth about Vladimir Putin—who he really is and what he’s doing to Ukrainians,” wrote the MAGA activist.
Lumer noted that UN investigators have documented 18 types of torture that the Russians are inflicting on Ukrainian prisoners of war. Russian occupiers killed more than 140 Ukrainians with their hands tied while they were already in captivity. Another 439 Ukrainians were tortured to death in Russian captivity.
As a reminder, Laura Lumer visited Ukraine in July of this year. She interviewed President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and also visited areas that had been shelled by the Russian occupying forces. After that, Lumer changed her attitude toward Ukraine and Russia. Whereas she previously held pro-Russian views, she now sincerely supports Kyiv.
