Widespread Destruction In Kyiv Following An Attack By The Russian Federation: There Are Fatalities And Many Injured

Many people are still trapped under the rubble.

Russia launched a massive rocket and drone attack on Kyiv throughout the night; the attack caused widespread destruction and fires in the capital, resulting in fatalities and a large number of injuries.

As of this writing, there have already been 9 fatalities and 46 injuries in the Ukrainian capital as a result of the Russian attack. Among the injured are five children.

Unfortunately, the casualty count is not final; efforts to clear the rubble and rescue people are ongoing.

Several high-rise buildings in various districts of the capital have been partially destroyed; according to rescue workers, people are still trapped under the rubble.

On July 2, Russia launched a massive attack on Kyiv with missiles and drones. On the night of July 2, Russian invaders launched 74 missiles and 496 drones of various types. Ukrainian defenders managed to shoot down 48 missiles and 476 drones. At the same time, 25 ballistic missiles and 12 attack UAVs were recorded as having struck 33 locations.

As a result of the attack, more than two dozen people were killed and about 100 were injured.
