U.S. President Donald Trump will meet next week with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa. The bilateral meetings will take place on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Turkey on July 7–8. This was announced by the White House press office, according to Reuters.

Yesterday, the Ukrainian and U.S. presidents spoke by phone to mark the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence. According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, they discussed the situation on the front lines and in diplomacy, and agreed to continue their dialogue in person at the NATO summit. The Ukrainian president described the conversation as positive and thanked the U.S. for its support.

The last in-person meeting between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy took place on June 16 on the sidelines of the G7 summit in France.
