Putin Increased The Authorized Strength Of Russia's Military

Russian Federation dictator Vladimir Putin has increased the authorized strength of the Russian Armed Forces by 25,000 personnel. This is stated in a presidential decree published on the legal acts portal.
According to the document, the authorized strength of the Russian Armed Forces has been set at 2,426,130 personnel. Of these, 1,535,000 are active-duty service members. The decree takes effect on August 1. The changes are due to the creation of military construction units within the Russian Armed Forces, the document states.
In a previous decree dated June 12 of this year, the authorities had set the number of active-duty service members at 1,510,000.
