Syrsky: Russia May Launch An Offensive Against The Chernihiv Region From Belarusian Territory

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also stated that Putin plans to capture Kyiv.

Russian occupiers are considering several options for offensive operations from the north. The enemy may attack the Chernihiv region.

This was stated in an interview with TSN by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.

“We know that Putin has tasked the Russian General Staff with analyzing various scenarios for an offensive operation, including from the territory of Belarus, with the aim of capturing Kyiv and other territories,” the general noted.

According to him, the Russian General Staff has prepared several courses of action. One of them is an offensive from Belarusian territory. However, as Syrsky noted, he does not believe that the Belarusian leadership would agree to allow the Russians to use Belarusian territory as a springboard again.
