A Conference In Gdańsk Raised 10 Billion Euros For Ukraine

The two-day Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC 2026), held in Gdańsk, concluded with the signing of 160 agreements totaling more than 10 billion euros. Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko, who led the Ukrainian delegation, announced this on her Telegram channel on Friday, June 26.

Among the key outcomes were the disbursement to Ukraine of the first tranche of a new EU financial instrument in the amount of 3.2 billion euros and an agreement with the World Bank for 3.4 billion dollars. In addition, the European Flagship Fund for the Reconstruction of Ukraine was launched, and the Ukraine Transport Support Fund was established. Partners allocated 140 million euros for housing programs.

In the energy sector, according to Ukraine’s Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal, approximately 30 agreements between Ukrainian state-owned and private energy companies and foreign partners, totaling over 1 billion euros, were prepared ahead of the conference. Among them are a contract with the British company Urenco to supply fuel for Ukrainian nuclear power plants worth 210 million pounds sterling, an agreement with the U.S. Export-Import Bank for Naftogaz worth $300 million, and a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to Ukrenergo worth 90 million euros.
