The widow is pregnant with her sixth child.

Russian artist Semyon Skrepetsky, who was was killed on June 15 in Biała Podlaska, has five children, and his widow is pregnant with their sixth. This was reported by Deutsche Welle by a source in the Belarusian diaspora who wished to remain anonymous.

The source told the publication that Semen Skrepetsky had repeatedly taken part in anti-war rallies organized in the city by Belarusians and Ukrainians. He described Biała Podlaska as a quiet and safe town and believes that this is precisely why the Russian artist chose to live there.

“Everything is out in the open. You know every car, everyone. He has five children, and his wife is currently pregnant with their sixth. And here, in this small town, it’s easier for a large family to get by,” the source told DW.

Earlier, the artist’s widow Viktoria Ivanitskaya reported on social media that she and her children are safe under the protection of Polish security services.

As a reminder, on June 15, around 10 a.m. in Biała Podlaska, in a parking lot near the intersection of Terebelska and Queen Jadwiga Streets, a 44-year-old Russian citizen residing in the city was killed by gunfire. He turned out to be the anti-Putin artist, cartoonist, bard, performance artist, and blogger Semyon Skrepetsky (real name — Robert Kuzovkov). In his artwork and performances, he criticized the Russian authorities, including Vladimir Putin and the leader of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov. Some of his works depicted Alexander Lukashenko. Due to the risk of political persecution, the artist moved to Poland in 2021.

Two Belarusian citizens were detained following the incident. As previously reported by the prosecutor’s office, they were detained near the Belarusian consulate in Biała Podlaska. Investigators are examining the men’s possible connection to the crime, but no charges have been filed against them yet.
