On Saturday, June 13, the Swedish Air Force intercepted a Russian Su-24 supersonic bomber and a Su-34 fighter-bomber twice with two pairs of JAS 39 Gripen fighters in the skies over the Baltic Sea, according to reports from the Swedish Armed Forces on social media platform X and Nordic Defence sector.

The Swedish military emphasized that the Russian bombers did not violate their country’s airspace. Combat aircraft from Sweden’s allies were also scrambled.
