Will there be "chain letters"?
Electric scooters will no longer be able to "run amok" on the roads with impunity.
They will be monitored through the cameras.
And if violations are seen, the SPM drivers will be fined.
In Belarus, new rules for users of kicksharing have been introduced, writes the portal news.by.
The capital is going to monitor their implementation, including through the cameras.
The consequences of violations are quite serious.
What are the new rules for electric scooters
One of the new rules concerns the parking of rental electric scooters.
Now they can be left only in special places - all services are tied to them.
There are also new "quiet zones", where traffic is not allowed at all. This is, for example, the section on Kirov Street.
There are about 200 intersections and crosswalks in Minsk, where you can't control the means of personal mobility.
What are the "quiet zones"
The city has defined a limit on the speed of scooters in some areas - they are called "quiet".
There you can ride up to 7 km / h.
There are also those areas where the movement on the SPM is not allowed at all. These include Victory Park, Chelyuskintsev and Gorky Park.
Crossing the roadway is now mandatory. It is not necessary to do so only at a regulated crosswalk, equipped with a traffic light or an information sign.
How to punish for violations of electric scooters
There are more than 15 thousand rental SPMs in Minsk.
For violation of the new rules, they can be warned, fined and permanently blocked in the kikshering application.
The enforcement of the rules will be monitored not only during raids, but also by cameras.
Owners of personal scooters, the traffic police reminds that the maximum speed is 25 km/h. Riding on one scooter with two people is also a gross violation.
