Crimean locals and visiting Russians are already openly blaming the Russian authorities.
In the temporarily occupied Crimea, an acute shortage of fuel and a sharp rise in prices at gas stations have been recorded in recent days. According to local media, bloggers and other social media users, diesel fuel and gasoline have completely disappeared at many gas stations on the peninsula since the beginning of April. At the same time, the cost of autogas has increased significantly, writes "Dialog.UA".
One of the bloggers has spoken out publicly about the problem, saying that Russian authorities are trying to shut up everyone who talks about what is happening. According to him, it is no longer possible to keep silent about the worsening situation, as Moscow is not explaining anything to the population.
Fuel problems in Russia, including in occupied Crimea, are linked to Ukrainian strikes on Russian fuel infrastructure facilities. Despite its status as one of the largest oil exporters, Russia has in recent years been increasingly unable to provide fuel even to occupied territories.
