He was an employee of the company that manages the villas of the dictator and Kabayeva's mother.
The Kremlin press service on Monday published a video of Vladimir Putin meeting with his schoolteacher Vera Gurevich at a hotel on Arbat. Putin, as shown in the video, personally picked up the teacher at the hotel to take her to dinner at the Kremlin.
In this meeting, the Russian president greets a supposedly random man. An analysis by Agence revealed that the role was played by Alexander Bazarny, who worked for the company that manages the villas of Putin and the mother of his companion Alina Kabaeva.
In the video, Putin drives himself in an Aurus SUV to an unnamed hotel and walks into the hotel lobby. Vera Gurevich is waiting for him there.
After that, they head to the car together.
On the way, Putin meets a Sochi resident, shakes his hand and asks him about the weather and his impressions of Moscow. After that, according to the press release, the president and the teacher go to dinner at the Kremlin.
According to an analysis by "Agency", Bazarny actually lives in Sochi.
In 2010-11, he worked as a security guard at Gazstroy Security, a Krasnodar-based company, Vod International. He also worked at Gross Group Di, probably as a driver.
Gross Group Di, as Project wrote in 2022, is owned by a firm associated with former spy Sergei Tregub, Possession-V. Tregub manages assets on behalf of Gazprom chief Alexei Miller and carries out sensitive assignments for the country's leadership.
Svod International was later renamed Gazprom Polyana, which manages the resort of the same name.
Svod International also operated the Achipse chalet near the Krasnaya Polyana resort. This chalet has been called one of the residences of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The company also managed other luxury cottages in Krasnaya Polyana, whose tenants included Alina Kabaeva's mother and the son of Rosgvardiya head Viktor Zolotov.
