Hungary's Election Winner Refused Personal Police Protection

Peter Magyar stated that he had nothing to fear.
Tisza party leader and winner of Hungary's parliamentary elections Peter Magyar, who is likely to become the new prime minister, said he has refused personal police protection.
He made the announcement on his social media page X on Thursday, April 16.
"Thank you to the head of the National Police for the offer, but I continue to refuse personal police protection - be it 24/7 or any other," Madiar wrote.
He says that he "so far had nothing to fear." The politician also said he intends to "work so that in the future there will be nothing to fear.
"Hungary will become a place where no one who works and lives honestly will have to be afraid," Magyar added.
