Lebanon's President Says He Supports Trump On Ceasefire

Joseph Aoun had a telephone conversation with the President of the United States.

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun held a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump and expressed support for the ceasefire.

"The President thanked Trump again for his efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Lebanon and to ensure lasting peace and stability in preparation for the peace process in the region. He expressed hope that these efforts will continue in order to achieve a ceasefire as soon as possible," Aoun's office said.

According to her, Trump responded by emphasizing his commitment to the speedy implementation of Lebanon's ceasefire request.
