Ukraine Inflicted Critical Damage On The Novoshakhtinsk Oil Loading Terminal

It facilitated the transit of oil from Russia.

As a result of a strike by Ukrainian UAVs on the Novoshakhtinsky oil loading terminal in Russia’s Rostov Oblast damaged 8 of the 12 fuel tanks.

This was reported by the Ukrainian monitoring Telegram channel Exilenova+, citing satellite imagery.

The Novoshakhtinsk oil loading terminal stores and facilitates the transportation of oil and petroleum products throughout Russia (its throughput capacity is 2.5 million metric tons of petroleum products per year).

Moscow exports some of these energy resources and uses the proceeds from their sale to fund the ongoing war against Ukraine. Consequently, all of Russia’s oil infrastructure is a legitimate target for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a massive strike against strategic targets in Russia’s Rostov Oblast on the night of October 10, 2026.

Not only was the oil loading terminal damaged, but so were a railroad bridge, two ships, and storage facilities. The attack sparked massive fires at the oil loading terminal that could not be extinguished for several days.
