The cry of the soul of the Belarusian physician.

Doctors who work or have worked in the red zones and who know firsthand what hell it is, share their thoughts on what the state is doing in the fourth wave of coronavirus in Belarus.

In the Opinions section, the White Robes telegram channel published a cry of the soul of the Belarusian physician:

- There is no emergency in what is happening now with Covid, - Mr. Pinevich, the person holding the post of Minister of Health, said on September 20. The other day, he called for reasonable caution, stressing that the situation is now quite difficult but predictable.

Tell me, comrade minister, when do you think the situation will become critical? No, I'm really interested.

Think about it: a huge number of clinics have been redesigned to covid, every day colleagues write that their clinic is loaded to capacity and there are not enough oxygen points, that there are no places in intensive care units, and a patient is discharged from the Anesthesiology and Intensive Care departments very rarely not inside a black bag. The EMS brigades are ringing all the bells. Clinics have huge queues stretching from the street. And is this “quite difficult”?

Isn't this a paralysis of the usual system of medical care? What, can you do the operation as planned now? Any operation not done as planned will, sooner or later, become urgent: the hernia will be strangled, cholecystitis will worsen, bleeding will begin due to fibroids - this list can be continued for a very long time. At the end, where in Minsk should a person with an exacerbation of COPD go, or where will a person with asthmatic status be taken if there is not a single clean hospital?

The vaccination campaign has completely failed, and there is no need to say that "the people did not want to be vaccinated, but everyone had the opportunity."

There was no clear explanation from the Ministry of Health to ordinary people about vaccines, vaccines of European production were not imported into the country (after all, the political "oh, whatever!" is more important than the lives of citizens).

Maybe you should have suggested the Ministry of Education to transfer schoolchildren and students to distance learning? Or try to fight the hotbeds of coronavirus in temporary detention facilities, pre-trial detention centers, and correctional facilities? And can you recommend NOT to carry out propaganda events in the Minsk-Arena? Yes, at least the appeal: "stay at home!" Too much for you to do?

Well, even now you have begun to hastily make up for the lost time in information work with the population, but then "Borjomi and Kidneys" comes to mind. Time is lost, and measures must be commensurate with the situation.

What's next? My personal opinion is that the system is already drowning, and it is on the verge of collapse. It will only get worse further, we are going to the bottom.

Therefore, please, people, take care of your health yourself, because the responsible persons in the Ministry of Health do not have enough courage and conscience for this.
