Belnautakhim On Lukoil's Limits: It's On Edge Of Provocation

The "daughter" of the Russian company has limited the sale of fuel at Belarusian petrol stations.

Lukoil Belarus, "daughter" of the Russian company Lukoil, has imposed restrictions on the sale of fuel at certain filling stations due to problems with fuel supplies from the Belarusian refineries.

The reports came up on February 4 - it was stated that some petrol stations in Brest, Baranavichy and other towns did not allow more than 100 liters of diesel fuel per customer (this is enough to fill the fuel tanks of passenger cars and vans in full). Sources of the Tut.by portal explained this by the refusal of the Belarusian refineries to supply fuel to the petrol stations, owned by Russian companies, as "no oil - no petrol".

The Lukoil Belarus company confirmed to Radio Svaboda that the limits are indeed introduced at some petrol stations (but not all over the country), and that they are associated with problems in fuel supply from the Belarusian plants. They promised to give details in a press release soon.

"Belnautakhim considers such actions as "abuse of rights, which is close to provocation," - press secretary of the concern Aliaksandr Tishchanka commented on the situation to Interfax.

According to him, neither the concern nor the government have made such decisions, and fuel supplies to petrol stations are carried out without restrictions or interruptions, while refineries are working to "satisfy the needs of the domestic market in full".
