In Minsk, A Taxi Driver Fell Asleep At The Wheel And Crashed Into A Streetlight

The Ministry of Emergency Situations had to rescue him.

This morning in Minsk, a 24-year-old taxi driver driving a BYD veered off the road and crashed into a light pole. He was unable to get out of the car on his own, so emergency services had to be called, according to Onlíner.

It all happened near house No. 10 on Lieutenant Kizhevatov Street. According to preliminary reports from the traffic police, the driver of the car fell asleep at the wheel.

After the collision, the man was trapped in the car. Using emergency rescue equipment, EMERCOM rescuers freed the driver and handed him over to medical personnel. He is currently undergoing an examination at the hospital.
