Ukraine Announced Ballistic Missile Strikes On Moscow

It's already fall.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) may begin launching the first strikes with Ukrainian ballistic missiles against Moscow as early as this fall, said Denis Shtilerman, owner and chief designer of Fire Point . In interview with journalist Dmitry Gordon, he reported that the new missile is currently in the final stage of testing. Following the test flights, “flights into Russian territory will begin.” “The military will determine where, but I think these will immediately be significant targets,” said Shtilerman.

He also noted that the exact timeline for the ballistic missiles to enter service with the Ukrainian army will depend on the results of the engine tests. “We’ll fill the engine with fuel, mount it on a test stand, conduct a burn test, and see how it performs. If there are any inaccuracies, we’ll document them all. But we’re moving very quickly,” Stilerman added.

Fire Point is one of the Ukrainian Army’s largest contractors. In particular, it manufactures the FP-1 long-range strike drones and the FP-5 “Flamingo” cruise missiles. The company officially announced the development of the FP-7 and FP-9 ballistic missiles in September 2025. In February, it demonstrated the first test launch of the FP-7. It was reported that the FP-7 missiles are designed for strikes at ranges of up to 250–300 km, while the FP-9 is designed for ranges of up to 850 km.
