The occupiers lost more than 60 pieces of military equipment.

The Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine Oleksandr Pivnenko reported that the 1st Corps of the National Guard “Azov,” together with adjacent units of the Defense Forces, defeated an offensive formation consisting of two armies and a tank division of the Russian Armed Forces.

In his Telegram channel, Pivnenko reported that on July 22, the occupiers—using forces from the 8th and 41st Armies, as well as the 90th Tank Division—attempted an assault in the area of responsibility of the 1st Corps of the National Guard “Azov,” deploying dozens of armored and light vehicles.

“For four hours, they tried to enter populated areas near the village of Shakhovoye,” Pivnenko said.

According to him, during the offensive, the occupiers blocked the skies with “Gerbera” and “Lancet” strike drones. In addition, to support their assault operations, the occupiers deployed a “Tornado-S” multiple-launch rocket system, which the Defense Forces destroyed.

The National Guard commander noted that Azov forces and attached units blocked the advance of mechanized columns; mine-and-explosive barriers were set up on the approaches to the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, and bridge crossings were damaged by tactical aviation.

The Russians attempted to reestablish crossings using pontoons even during the assault, but these were destroyed by tactical aviation of the Ukrainian Air Force, Pivnenko stated.

He also reported that all units deployed under Azov’s command destroyed the following using barrel artillery, multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and strike UAVs:

7 tanks;
6 armored fighting vehicles;
1 BM-21 “Grad” multiple-launch rocket system;
1 “Tornado-S” multiple-launch rocket system;

3 pieces of specialized equipment;

47 pieces of light equipment.

In addition, 123 invaders were killed, and another 29 were wounded.

“The enemy assault was repelled thanks to the coordinated efforts of units from the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine ‘Azov,’ the Special Operations Center of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Ukrainian Air Force, units of the State Tax Service of Ukraine—in particular, the “Phoenix” Main Unmanned Systems Department—as well as units of the National Guard of Ukraine and units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carrying out missions in the area,” — the commander of the National Guard clarified.
