New Rules: School Uniforms Must Now Be Made Exclusively In Belarus

The new standards will take effect on August 13.

New standards for school uniforms have been introduced for Belarusian students. Now, they must be manufactured exclusively in Belarus. However, the fabric for the uniforms may be produced either in Belarus itself or in Russia.

According to the new rules, at least 50% of the fabrics, knitted fabrics, or yarn must be produced in Belarus or Russia.

If the uniforms do not meet these requirements, they will not be included in a special online registry where schools and parents can verify information about manufacturers.

The new standards will take effect on August 13 and will not apply to shoes or athletic uniforms.
